Cheers, Carmen.   current exhibition   Following the exquisitely detailed feminine offerings of our previous exhibition "Confluence of the Birds", we bring you an entirely opposite energy with "Sons of Beaches - Street Art from the Beach" a selection of urban inspired works from some of the coasts favourite sons. The exhibition includes painting (spray can & brush), photography and sculpture by Amos Duggan, David Houghton (CPHO), Stu Fergie, Tom Goldschmidt, Shaun Pascoe, Maxine Stibbe and Phil Willy. We've also received  a shipment of new graffiti magazines and books covering stencil art, t-shirt and tattoo culture. Be warned, they're going fast... Each of the artists presented are making waves in their own genre. Pascoe is a recent silver medalist at the AIPP awards for his creative portrait "Peter in the Rain" (featured at Culture). Rising star Amos Duggan is featured in this months Australian Art Collector, and David Houghton is making great progress with local councils initiating legal walls for local street artists. Our latest project to bear fruit is the creation of very own jewellery tree. Laser cut in glossy acrylic, this spunky silhouette of our beloved Pandanus is available by order in two sizes and three colours. See the new FOR SALE section of our website  for details. cultural SSideline As Culture spreads it inky tentacles into the coasts various sub-cultures, we've made some fine friends along the way. At the forefront of Qld's  bustling fashion scene is funky jeans man SSideline. To date we've only ventured as far a t-shirts instore, but have made a temporary exception for the last remaining pairs in captivity of his current season skinny jeans featuring a fine pair of leg bones on the calf. Guys only sorry. Made in Melbourne, only three pairs in each size were produced (RRP $269). Only four pairs remain. Other designs in the range include quirky but cool three dimensional pieces and animal shapes.  We're also pleased to note that men are jumping on the Gemima band wagon by simply replacing the girly rag ties with a  piece of leather or rubber.
