More Locally Made Loveliness
Joanna ThompsonJoanna Thompson continues to impress with sleek yet simple designs and excellent craftsmanship.
This girl has  a way with pearls. We have a number of happy customers now who have brought in pearls which Joanna has transformed in to unique tailor made creations. She has extended her services to us (and you) to also include repairs, and ring resizing.

The squiggle earring (right) is funky and functional with variations in shape and colour to suit just about everyone. Much easier than you think to put in and very secure once they're in. Hand made and very well priced at $46-$50.

Obama's Last Stand
Vote ObamaThe LAST in existence of the coveted Obama shirts finally reappeared out of the postal ether.

Designed as a limited edition by US stencil Artist, pin up boy and budding fashion heavy weight Shepard Fairey.  With the artist and his history making stencil featured the cover of Time Magazine. It's safe to say he's really "made it" now. For serious collectors (and wearers) of cool.

Paper Artistry - No it's Not Decoupage!
After the Fire - detailBronwyn Lloyd continues to wierd us out in the nicest possible way as she extends her paper oddessy in new directions. You may remember her stark and confronting hand cut stencils depicting martyred  saints and frollicking nuns featured at Culture last year.

(Pictured right: Detail from "After The Fire" by Bronwyn Lloyd - click to zoom)

Bronwyn LloydHer new pieces range from gentle colourful abstractions (After The Fire), before plunging back into her murky Catholic guilt ridden subconcious with  "How Will I Go Without You". Bronwyn's painstaking attention to detail and unique mix of skills is more akin to what groovy young things are producing in San Francisco than the Sunshine Coast. Very contemporary and very exciting to be around.
