Shepard Fairey's ubiquitous portrait of Obama for the 2008 Presidential Election emerged from a limited run of campaign posters onto t-shirts, numerous magazine covers, stickers, badges and eventually the to the depths of Facebook profile picture parodies.
Shepard's images influenced voters, and moved the now President to speak in support of Graffiti Art. Shepard has since been charged with vandalism, with no assistance forthcoming from his new pal.
