We are situated in the Peregian Beach Village Square, 1.5 hours drive north of Brisbane on the Sunshine Coast, just down the road from Noosa.

A unique shopping experience where the natural beauty and proximity of the coastline, contrasts with the array of designer wares and fine food on offer from an ecclectic mix of specialty retailers.


Culture + Shop + Gallery is a contemporary black box gallery, retail space and hole in the wall cafe.

We showcase and support contemporary arts practice by local artists and designers. Curated exhibitions are regularly rotated for your enjoyment and education.

High Brow and Low Brow Art and desirables vie for your attention. The discerning and the easily amused are catered for equally.

We are pleased to provide you with a selection of, Hand Made Contemporary Jewellery, Scultpure, Art Books, Magazines, Cards, Photography, Art-T-shirts and Serious Coffee to go.

Brigid has been creating unique handcrafted jewellery for more than a decade. Her intuitive designs range from spectacular, intricate beaded collars to delicate single strand necklaces and earrings. She uses a wide variety of skills from Native American to modern bead-working techniques. The properties and energies of the semi-precious stones and pearls draw particular clients to her unique creations. With an international reputation, her creations are worn by Goddesses around the world with clients in Japan, Canada, New Zealand as well as many parts of Great Britain & Europe.
Brigid first started making jewellery in her childhood, but it wasn't until she was living in London, UK in 1995 that she learned some Native American Indian beading techniques using a very fine needle and long thread. She amazed herself, and others, with the incredible collars that seemed to just evolve. They have been described as "large exuberant celebrations rather than just mere jewellery".

Each and every piece Brigid makes is a personal gift from her heart - unique and original, with its own special energy.

Culture is more than just a shop + gallery, it's a community of creativity. A resource for contemporary artists and audiences based on the Sunshine Coast. We aim to showcase the diversity of arts practice on the coast. It's not all frangipanis out there people!

We're here to stimulate you, to challenge and inspire you.

There's always a lot going on behind the scenes at Culture. We collaborate with local artists established and emerging on projects regularly.
